JoeLinks, is the brainchild of a singular MIT graduate with a vision: Joanne Baker. I had the impossible mission to improve communication and thereby extend the reach of all people to one another through the magic of the Internet Not as though that “singular” vision was not shared by millions of others! Joanne Susan, visionary, thinker, tinker, prototype and model maker, I was always and forever interested in making things better as far back as I could remember. Even as a pony tailed little girl, I was never ever satisfied with the mediocre. I grew up in the middle class, New York City suburb of Fair Lawn, New Jersey where every little girl was her mamma’s favorite superstar. I was surrounded by the love of my dentist / lawyer father and homemaker mother. My dad Myron always felt that the purpose of life was to enjoy it and make others happy. Frances, my mom on the other hand, always felt that Bloomingdales, Lowman’s and Alexander’s all spoke to her with the language of love. I remember my dad saying to me when I got into MIT (in the early days when there were very few women), “ if you get in, I will pay for it.” By the way, thanks DAD for paying for MIT! I got the easy part. Both my Papa and mamma “enabled” me with their vision and everlasting love. And so it was, I followed my heart and attended the foremost scientific Institute of higher learning in the country. .
